On February 21, 2025, Haiyue (Hubei) Electrical Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to confer the designation of Employment and Internship Base and a symposium on university–enterprise cooperation with Hubei University of Engineering. Attending the event were Zeng Qingdong, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Xiaochang County People’s Government; Hu Changjia, Deputy County Magistrate; Shi Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physics and Electrical Engineering at Hubei University of Engineering; Li Ji, Director of the School’s Laboratory; Jiang Ying, a counselor from the school; Liu Xianjin, Deputy General Manager of Technology at Haiyue Electrical; and other representatives from government, academia, and industry.

At the exchange meeting, Zeng Qingdong, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Xiaochang County Government, put forward “three hopes”: first, that the university and the enterprise will collaborate in good faith and advance together; second, that the university will cultivate and supply more high-quality, application-oriented talents who are committed to working at the grassroots level—talents who are willing to take up posts in rural areas, able to stay in such positions, and capable of performing well; and third, that Haiyue Electric will leverage its own strengths to contribute to local economic development.

Subsequently, Shi Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Physics and Electrical Engineering at Hubei Institute of Engineering, held discussions with the enterprise on five areas of cooperation: first, establishing a long-term internship base to systematically cultivate and supply specialized talent; second, jointly tackling key technological challenges and collaboratively applying for research projects and innovation platforms; third, promoting “customized training” by introducing pre-employment training courses in advance based on the enterprise’s needs; fourth, sharing high-level talent resources to encourage doctoral and professorial teams to participate in the enterprise’s R&D activities; and fifth, building a bridge for collaboration between the university and the enterprise to help expand access to resources from Wuhan’s higher education institutions.

Liu Xianjin, Deputy General Manager of Haiyue Electrical Technology, stated that the company will use the internship base as a starting point to provide Hubei University of Technology students with hands-on positions, skills training, and diversified development platforms, thereby fostering a precise alignment between talent pipelines and industrial chains. Looking ahead, the two parties will also explore deeper cooperation to achieve mutual benefits for both the university and the enterprise.

The successful holding of the plaque-awarding ceremony for this employment internship base has not only provided more practical opportunities and career pathways for students at Hubei University of Engineering, but also injected new momentum into the development of Haiyue (Hubei) Electric Co., Ltd. It is believed that, with the joint efforts of both parties, school–enterprise cooperation will yield fruitful results and make positive contributions to the advancement of education and the growth of enterprises.
