Minutes of the Red Education Activity in Jiaxing’s South Lake, Organized by the Party Branch of Ningbo Haiyue Company

To commemorate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, to carry forward the great Red Boat Spirit, and to strengthen the ideological and moral foundation of Party members, on June 11, 2026, the Party branch of Ningbo Haiyue Company, in collaboration with the Party branches of the Jiaxing Chamber of Commerce of Ningbo, the Lishui Chamber of Commerce of Ningbo, the Haining Economic Promotion Association of Ningbo, and the Pinghu Chamber of Commerce of Yinzhou District, Ningbo, jointly organized a themed Party‑day red‑education activity titled “Setting Sail Anew from the Red Boat—Striving Forward on a New Journey” at South Lake in Jiaxing.

On the morning of June 11, all Party members gathered at Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing to pay their respects at the Red Boat—the birthplace of the Chinese Revolution—immersing themselves in a vivid re‑enactment of the momentous century-long journey of the Party’s founding. In July 1921, the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China convened in secret in Shanghai; however, during the proceedings, a sudden search and tight surveillance by colonial police exposed the venue, forcing the revolutionary delegates to evacuate urgently. To mitigate risks and ensure the continuation of the meeting, the delegates traveled in stages to Jiaxing, Zhejiang, ultimately choosing to reconvene aboard an unassuming pleasure boat on Nanhu Lake.

On this seemingly ordinary red boat, the delegates adopted the Communist Party of China’s first program and its first resolution. The program clearly defined the Party’s name, its goals, and its fundamental organizational structure, while the resolution laid out specific plans for the Party’s work. Standing beneath the misty rain‑soaked pavilion and gazing at the century‑old red boat, all Party members profoundly experienced the pioneering spirit of “breaking new ground and daring to lead,” and came to deeply understand that this spirit is the very source of strength that has enabled the Chinese Communists to surmount challenges, forge ahead, and press forward over the past hundred years.

Subsequently, all Party members entered the South Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall to engage in an immersive study of Party history. Inside, precious historical photographs, revolutionary artifacts that bear the weight of time, and meticulously detailed historical documents together present a comprehensive account of the Communist Party of China’s century-long journey—from its founding through the trials of war, arduous struggle, and eventual growth and expansion. Afterwards, gathered in the square, they reaffirmed their oath of admission to the Party, deeply appreciating the profound spirit of “steadfast ideals and indomitable perseverance” as well as the spirit of “dedication to the public good and unwavering loyalty to the people.”

At the conclusion of the event, Party members visited Jiaxing Railway Station and toured the restored 1921-era station building. As a crucial transit hub through which delegates to the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China traveled to Jiaxing and then proceeded to South Lake, this historic station witnessed the perilous early days of the Party’s founding. Today, the juxtaposition of the old and new station buildings—along with the profound transformations between past and present—underscores the remarkable leap forward China has made under the leadership of the CPC, from a nation once mired in poverty and weakness to one of prosperity and strength. This experience profoundly reinforced in all Party members the hard-won nature of today’s peaceful and stable society and the steady development of enterprises, further strengthening their resolve to heed the Party’s call and follow its lead.

During this red‑education activity, all Party members listened attentively to the briefings, engaged in in‑depth exchanges and reflections, and deeply internalized the original aspiration of the Party. Guided by the spirit of the Red Boat, they kept the founding mission firmly in mind, shouldered their responsibilities with resolve, remained committed to their posts, boldly pursued innovation, and courageously tackled tough challenges. By fully exemplifying the vanguard role of Party members, they contributed the sense of responsibility and commitment befitting Party members of the new era to the enterprise’s drive for high‑quality development and to the new journey of local economic construction.
