At 7:30 p.m. on April 9, 2025, the Ningbo Center Tower—the tallest building in Zhejiang Province, standing at a total height of 409 meters—held a handover and lighting ceremony, officially marking its completion and commissioning. As the core supplier of its power system, Ningbo Haiyue Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has developed and manufactured low-voltage distribution cabinets that are now fully operational in the Ningbo Center Tower, providing robust power-supply support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the high-rise building’s electrical distribution system.

The Ningbo Center Tower project boasts a total floor area of approximately 250,000 square meters and a towering height of 409 meters, comprising three underground levels and 80 above-ground floors. Floors 1 through 60 are designated as international Class-A office space, while floors 61 through 80 will house the Ritz-Carlton, one of the world’s premier luxury hotels.

Ningbo Center Tower is equipped with two of the province’s fastest elevators, capable of reaching a speed of 10 meters per second. Ultra-high-rise buildings place exceptionally stringent demands on the reliability of their power supply, particularly for critical systems such as high-speed elevators. In response to the unique requirements of ultra-high-rise structures, Ningbo Haiyue Company custom-designed 222 distribution cabinets specifically for Ningbo Center Tower, comprehensively addressing multiple aspects—including dual-source power supply and automatic transfer and restoration between primary and backup circuits in the distribution system—to ensure continuous and stable power delivery and to safeguard the safe operation of the high-speed elevators.

Following its successful bid in the third quarter of 2023, Ningbo Haiyue promptly established a dedicated project team and worked closely with the developer to overcome technical challenges and optimize production processes. Thanks to the efficient collaboration among its R&D, manufacturing, and service support departments, the company completed delivery of all distribution cabinets one month ahead of schedule, thereby securing a critical time window for subsequent construction activities at the building. At the same time, Ningbo Haiyue dispatched an elite service team to provide installation services and conduct meticulous on-site commissioning, ensuring that the equipment performance perfectly meets the building’s requirements and laying a solid foundation for the stable operation of the power system at Ningbo Center Tower.

Haiyue (Hubei) Electrical Co., Ltd., located in the Xiaochang Economic Development Zone of Hubei Province, was newly established with investment from Ningbo Haiyue Company. With an annual production capacity of 15,000 units (sets), the facility commenced operations in December 2023, laying a solid capacity foundation to serve projects nationwide.

The completion and commissioning of the Ningbo Center Tower mark not only a milestone in Ningbo’s urban development but also serve as a microcosm of the technological prowess and artisanal spirit of local enterprises. As a key participant in this landmark project, Ningbo Haiyue has achieved steady enhancements in its competitive edge through the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial practice. This tallest building in Zhejiang Province has ushered in a new chapter for Ningbo, while Ningbo Haiyue’s innovative journey will continue to infuse more cities with the dynamic momentum of “Made in China” innovation.
