On April 9, the Ningbo Center Tower, a landmark symbolizing “Zhejiang’s height,” was officially handed over. Notably, low-voltage distribution cabinets developed and manufactured by Ningbo Haiyue Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd., an enterprise based in Luotuo Subdistrict, are now powering the Ningbo Center Tower, providing robust electrical support to ensure the safe and reliable operation of its high-rise power distribution system.

Ningbo Center Tower boasts the fastest elevators in the entire province. Ultra-high-rise buildings place exceptionally high demands on the reliability of power supply, particularly for critical systems such as high-speed elevators. “Our team took into account the unique requirements of ultra-high-rise structures and custom-designed the building’s switchgear specifically for Ningbo Center Tower, comprehensively addressing such factors as dual-source power supply and automatic switchover between primary and backup power feeds. This ensures continuous and stable power delivery, thereby safeguarding the safe operation of the high-speed elevators,” said Zhang Leiming, Chairman of Ningbo Haiyue.

Distribution cabinets are the “heart” of power supply and distribution systems, playing a critical role in ensuring reliable electricity delivery. Ningbo Haiyue, which has been developing in Luotuo Subdistrict for more than 30 years, has long been deeply engaged in the electrical industry, with its 35 kV and lower-rated high- and low-voltage distribution cabinets serving as one of its flagship products. The Ninghai Investment Promotion Building, standing over 166 meters tall, is also a super-tall structure. Previously, hundreds of high- and low-voltage distribution cabinets manufactured by Ningbo Haiyue have already been deployed to support the operations of the Ninghai Investment Promotion Building.

Ningbo Center Tower is located in the core area of Ningbo’s Eastern New City, with a total height of 409 meters, setting a new record for the city’s skyline and making it the tallest building in Zhejiang Province—as well as a new iconic landmark for Ningbo. In the third quarter of 2023, Ningbo Haiyue stood out from numerous competitors to supply 220 low-voltage switchgear cabinets for Ningbo Center Tower.

Ningbo Haiyue promptly assembled a task-force team and aligned its efforts with the construction of the Ningbo Central Tower, providing precise support to meet the project’s critical milestones. In February 2024, thanks to close collaboration across multiple departments—including engineering and manufacturing—Ningbo Haiyue delivered the final batch of low-voltage switchgear to the project contractor, one month ahead of schedule.

To ensure the effective realization of product performance, Ningbo Haiyue dispatched a highly capable team and deployed a dedicated service group to provide installation services and conduct on-site commissioning for the Ningbo Central Tower.
